Jin Jang (PTCL) June 2002:
Surface tension of hydrophobically modified poly(acrylamide)s in its own and mixture with surfactants (C12TAB, SDS, C10E4) in H2O solutions were carried out with the TRACKER tensiometer using bubble shape analysis. For each solution successive measurements were at a fixed time interval and the surface tension value was taken to be an equilibrium value if it did not vary by more than 0.05 mN/m over a period of 10 min. It can be found from the surface tension results that the bubble shape analysis is a quite true equilibrium method and is best suited for our interfacial measurements.
